Recipe for Homemade Play Dough

Here's a recipe for Homemade Play Dough. It is very simple, and the kids will love to help make and play with it when it is finished. You probably already have the ingredients around your kitchen.

In a medium size saucepan combine the following ingredients.
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
Food coloring of your choice

Mix together while on medium heat, stirring continually until a ball is formed. Once ball is formed put it on a piece of wax paper and kneed until smooth (be careful not to burn yourself or children it will be very hot at first)

The dough will last for a few weeks if kept in an air tight container.
