Say Hello, Lily (available in paperback or hardcover)
Say Hello, Lily is a nice story to share with your family or a group of children. Ann's kiddos loved the little girl Lily. They have been asking Ann to go to a place where they can do art with "grandmas and grandpas".
I have read the story to my kiddos at work a few times-we visit an assisted living home once a month and drop off a little decoration we have made on the residents doors. The children are always a little apprehensive about going. This book really opened some of their eyes that going to different places can be a scary thing but they can be fun too!
In the story Lily joins her mother at the Shalom House and is very nervous and shy when meeting new people. They are very excited that she has come to visit though! Lilly continues to join her mother and gradually comes out of her shell and really thrives and enjoys her time there! She is very happy to see an old neighbor who now lives there-Mrs. Rosenbaum is excited to see Lily again and they form a special relationship.-I can't give you all the details-you will have to read it for yourself! :)
A very cute story-definitely worth picking up for your family. Say Hello, Lily is also a learning tool-your children will pick up that it is okay to be scared at first but if you give it a try you will really have fun and maybe meet some new friends!
