Interesting Pumpkin Carving Contest ENDS 10/20

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday-so much to do and see, smell, taste and experience.  Pumpkin carving is a yearly event with my whole family-we even have our own contest where everyone gets an award based on their pumpkin. This contest is not for the knife and scoop carver-check it out.  Power tools are required.  You could win $500!  Enter by October 20th to get your awesome pumpkin in the contest!-PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post your picture for us to see too!

Annual Clothing Re-Sale
The sale will be held in the North Hall. 
Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th
Friday evening from 6:30pm-9pm (NO CHILDREN ALLOWED, FOR SAFETY REASONS)
Saturday from 9am-3pm-half price on all white tagged items.


I have never been to this event but heard that they are "picky" about the clothing that is being sold-this is good, there should be nice items without stains and holes.

At 4:30pm on Friday you can arrive to get a number-if you get a number (1-100) you will be let in at 6:30 according to your number and will have a few minutes to shop before everyone gets in.  If you are there at 6:30 you will probably have to wait about 20 minutes or so to get in-it sounds like it is worth the wait! Bring a book.  :)

Free General Mills Food Samples

This is a pretty good freebie source for anybody who speaks Spanish or has access to Google Translate.  I had a good time looking all these words up when I did this a while back.  I got a box from them not so long ago with a Nature Valley Oats ‘n Honey bar, some Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a large Bisquick baking mix pack, and $3 in coupons.  Every package seems to have different freebies, so you never know what you'll get!
