Isn't Autumn Great? Caramel Apples always make Autumn Better!

I am pretty positive that I have mentioned one of my favorite treat stores before-
Apples of Eden in Downtown Greendale
5612 Broad Street
Greendale, WI 53129

Yum, Yum!  My favorite is the plain Caramel Apple-sliced-what a treat-the perfect amount of caramel on a Granny Smith apple!   Mmmm...I am definitely heading there this weekend!  Apples of Eden has more than just great caramel apples they also have chocolates and gifts!  They have some really need painted wine glasses, aprons and many other gifts.  The chocolate items are also great-I really like the chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick too!
We have an exclusive offer for you-Apples of Eden will be offering their customers a free advent calendar ($2.95 value) with every $10.00 purchase starting at the end of November.  BUT if YOU go now and mention that My Milwaukee Mommy sent you, you will be able to get this deal now!!!
How nice it that?
I remember getting advent calendars every year as a kid-it might just be time to start up that tradition with my new niece or nephew (next year of course).

Looking for something to do with friends or adult family members?

Are you looking for a fun and inexpensive way to entertain a group of friends or family members?  Want to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal together but not sure if you will have a whole lot to talk about?

Try a Murder Mystery Party!  I have hosted a couple of them and they are a ton of fun!  My last one was on October 29th (A little Halloween get together.)

Our latest scenario was Death at St. James Park.  I have also hosted Murder on Misty Island.

Each game requires a specific number of participants-you can have extra but they are observers not active participants.

You need to plan for these parties-they give you great tips and detailed directions as well as costume and food ideas. It is so much fun seeing people dress up!  One of our friends really got into it this time and bout a military costume because her was a Lieutenant.  It was awesome! Murder on Misty Island was and Asian themed game and Death at St. James Park was WWII themed.  For Murder on Misty Island I served egg drop soup, chicken fried rice, fortune cookies, kung pow chicken, egg rolls and a few other items.  For Death at St. James Park we enjoyed meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and I looked up WWII desserts and found 2 "wartime" cake recipes-neither of them used eggs.

So you plan your party and decide who each of your friends are going to be-they arrive in costume (hopefully) and your party begins.  Everyone has a "script" items they need to reveal each round or try to keep secret.  The game is played in rounds or chapters after each chapter you need to make sure all details that need to be given about yourself are out.  You usually move onto the next food course at that time as well.
The games are a bit adult at times-not for kiddos-that is why the games make for a great evening with friends, there are a number of innuendos and adult themes.

I don't want to give out too much about the games, they really are something you need to experience for yourself.  I strongly suggest you check with your friends or fun family members to see if they want to participate, you need to have a fun crowd.

I LOVE the fact that the games give you all of the suggestions but you can certainly branch out and fit things to your needs or ideas.

You really need to plan on a good chunk of time to designate to your party-I would say at least 2 and a half hours.  Both of mine went for about 3 hours but we chatted and laughed A LOT!

Both of the games I hosted were a blast!  My favorite so far was Murder on Misty Island.  I am hoping to try Pasta, Passion & Pistols, Staying Alive or A Murder on the Grill Next.

Check out University Games for more Murder Mystery Party games and for all of their games!  They also have games for families!!!

Bob & Larry Sing the 80's-VeggieTales CD Review

VeggieTales Bob & Larry Sing the 80's is sooo good!

This CD quickly became Ann's kids favorite CD to play, dance and sing to.  The songs are so catchy and as adults we know most of the words already because they are songs we grew up listening to!  Being that it is from VeggieTales I know it is music I don't have to worry about my kiddos listening to either-it is all appropriate-what a relief.

At work my kiddos request to listen to it at least three times a week.  When parents walk in they are digging it too!  "Gourds Just Want to Have Fun" is a funny song, the only one that has a noticeable difference from the original-"Girls Just Want to Have Fun".

From the moment I opened the shipping envelope I knew the CD would be fun-Bob & Larry look like they stepped out of a Miami Vice episode!

All of the songs are good and perfect to sin a long with.  All of them are kid and family friendly.

Walking on Sunshine, Footloose, That's What Friends Are For-I really like the little commentary during this song, Walk Like an Egyptian and a few more!  A great family CD!

We were given a hard copy of this CD-we really do love it-all opinions in this review are honest and our own.

T.TAio Bath Products Review

Links provided may be from affiliate programs which help support this blog. Thanks for clicking!

We have been reviewing a couple of really nice bath products.  The T.TAio  Oatmeal Soap Sponge and the Exfoliating body scrubber.  Ann has been using the Exfoliating body scrubber and I have been using the Oatmeal Soap Sponge.

The Exfoliating body scrubber is gentle enough for the kiddos while still being a scrubber.  The kids like to lather it up and squish the bubbles out.  So it is not only  great body scrubber it is also an entertaining item!  Kids are so creative.

The Oatmeal Soap Sponge is great!  I was a little shocked when I started to use it, I did not read the package very well-I thought it was just oatmeal soap, that is what I get for not paying attention to the packaging.

I digress-the Oatmeal Soap Sponge is awesome!  It is actually a rectangular sponge with oatmeal soap incorporated into it!  I have been using it daily on my arms and underarms.  I feel that my skin really is softer and not bumpy!

I really like the Oatmeal Soap Sponge, I am asking for a few for Christmas :)
