At Artterro.com, they love art and wanted to share that experience with our children. They searched high and low for eco-friendly, open-ended art projects with beautiful materials but they were nowhere to be found. Most kits on the market offer lots of glitzy packaging but disappoint after opening the box. You’re left with a handful of cheap materials and a cookie-cutter project that ends up in the trash a week later.
Kids appreciate quality art materials! Beautiful supplies inspire them to create amazing things, just like they do for adults. Children easily immerse themselves in the process, often unattached to the final product, and their enthusiasm is contagious! Works of art composed with Artterro's high-quality materials become treasures artists young and old proudly display.
Artterro kits are for kids, families, seasoned artists and novices alike. They’ve done the sourcing and shopping, helping busy people bring a creative, meaningful activity home to their families.
So, out of love and inspiration, Artterro was born.

I had the opportunity to meet the women behind Artterro last weekend and I was so impressed!  They have thought of it all!  First of all, almost everything in this kit is eco-friendly, being made from mostly natural and recycled products.  Second of all, everything in these kits will be used...including hte packaging!  I was also impressed to how everything is made locally!  These kits are actually put together at a Goodwill in Milwaukee and packaged out of Madison.  I love the idea of paying it forward...and supporting local businesses, so this is a win-win for us!
I was able to review an Art Journal Kit, Wire and Bead Kit, and Art Dolls Kit.  Let me start by saying that I was not disappointed in the least!  The Art Journal is made of very sturdy and wide variety of paper.  The papers are vibrant and allow for the creative juices to start flowing with your budding artist.  My daughter has been journaling.  She is using her journal to not only write and color, but to create by using items we have around the house to glue in the book.  I was impressed how strong the paper was and how well it held together after the glue and pasting was done.  The Wire and Bead Kit allowed for my son to create some pretty amazing things!  He shaped the wire and used the beads to make miniature figures that he then placed inside their "home"- the box!  The Art Dolls Kit was a huge hit with my daughter!  While my son was making his figures, my daughter was creating her own figures with this kit.  She crafted up a couple of book marks and then created a beautiful scene using her box as a frame for the dolls play date!  I could not believe how sturdy these items were.  We usually do a project and throw it out after a week or so because it is so flimsy.  Everything in these kits was sturdy and the kits were so well assembled.  What haven't these women thought of?!?

Head over and like them on facebook and follow them on twitter to hear their specials and discounts as they become available.
