Chevrolet Suburban Review

General Motors was kind enough to allow us to use the Chevrolet Suburban and the Chevrolet Equinox for our Couponing for a Cause event.
I, Ann, was able to use the Chevrolet Suburban for a week as we prepared for the event.  I must say, I knew I wouldn't want to give it back at the end of the week as soon as I saw it!  It drives so smoothly and so flawlessly!  It was like riding on a cloud.  My children loved watching their DVDs as I drove and being able to control the DVDs with their own back seat control.

Another huge plus were the heated seats in the front.  I loved the roomy interior that the front seats had to offer, giving us plenty of room to stretch as we drove or sat in the passenger seat.  I loved being able to see through the rear view back up system.  It displays your surroundings as soon as you put it in reverse.  This is a huge plus if you are not used to driving bigger vehicles.  It is quite accurate and even beeps if you get a little too close to something while reversing.  The front seats were heated which was so nice and relaxing!  This car was "maxed out!"  I was nervous about driving such a big SUV, but all of the perks and how well it handled on the road put me at ease.

I think the biggest plus for me and my family was how spacious it was!  There was tons of room for everyone in the vehicle and I really liked that even behind the rows of seats there was plenty of room for storage.  That is a huge plus for a big family like mine!

I must say how "covered" I felt in the Suburban.  OnStar is standard for the first six months in the Suburban.  I really could have used that when my daughter was two!  I gave her my keys to play with one day as I loaded up the car after a grocery shopping trip.  I closed the door, forgetting to get the keys back from her when I heard the dreaded "click" sound.  All of my doors were locked and we had to wait a half hour for my husband to come and unlock the doors.  I felt like the worst mother ever!  But, guess what?!?  I did it again with my now two year old when he was only 10 months.  You would think I would have learned my lesson the first time?!?  Nope...Now, with OnStar, this would not have been a problem.  It's the perfect "perk" for a busy mother who suffers from "Mommy Brain."
