The mother-owned children's company based in Snoqualmie, WA, offers a full line of earth-friendly products featuring the zany Zomsters characters. Parents can choose from a selection of super-soft cotton onesies, t-shirts and hats, kid and eco-friendly artwork, including limited edition holiday prints, among other collectables.
"Zomsters are designed to make kids smile and to spark their imaginations," says founder and designer Ronda Bergman.
"With characters like Wally the marine archeologist and George the music-enthusiast, Zomsters is very much about learning too," she says. "We create characters rich with unique traits, interests and backgrounds to teach kids about far-off cultures and places, and about career choices that aren't as common."
Zomsters also designs to create awareness about how making small green changes in our lives can make big differences in the world.
The company is committed to sustainable business practices so our children inherit a clean planet. In addition to choosing environmentally-conscious materials like organic cotton, recycled paper and recycled aluminum cans, Zomsters minimizes its impact by using water-based, azo-free inks for non-toxic printing, and selecting local manufacturers and suppliers to reduce shipping and materials waste. The company seeks partners, suppliers, and materials that eliminate toxins and chemicals in products, among other green practices.
Zomsters is a growing family of 21 friendly characters with many more ideas to come.
I was fortunate enough to get a Wall Art Print with the letter "E" to put up in my son, Ethan's room. It is super cute and very sturdy. I framed it and have it hanging on his wall next to his crib. My son giggles when he sees it...these little monsters are oh, so cute!
Besides the wall print, I was able to get a fun Hugo toddler tee. I had my son wear it a few times and got some very sweet compliments. First, it's so soft, made from 100% cotton. Second, the screen print is done using only water-based, low-impact, azo-free inks. The tee is unique, stylish, and just plain cute! My son loves it...he has nothing in his wardrobe like it, so that's a huge plus! I love the "green" philosophy that Zomsters lives by.
