Did you know that national and state parks are closing because we don't visit them? YIKES! That is a tragedy to me. I know that I will be visiting at least one this summer.

There are great ways to enjoy the parks-volunteer, do a park clean up, hike or camp!

It is also important to keep your carbon footprint down while traveling-use items that run on solar energy-I had no idea that you can install solar panels on an RV! What a great idea.

Use rechargeable batteries so you are not constantly purchasing new ones (save money and the environment).

Recycle.

Clean up after yourself-and better yet-leave a place better than when you arrived!

Great Wolf Lodge Waterslide-AThon

Saturday, June 11, at Great Wolf Lodge – Wisconsin Dells has a big event for a great cause! They will be hosting their second annual World’s Largest Waterslide-athon! From 11a.m. to 11p.m., each and every time a guest takes a trip down the slide, Great Wolf Lodge will donate $1 to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Their goal is to raise $250,000 across all 11 Great Wolf Lodge resorts nationwide. Jazz in the Park Every Thursday Through September 22

Jazz in the Park is Milwaukee's favorite free, outdoor, summer music series, featuring an eclectic lineup of jazz, big band, funk, R & B, reggae, blues and more. Performers come from across town or across the country.
Concerts take place Thursday evenings, 6pm-9pm from June 2 through September 22, in Cathedral Square Park. Stop by early for Jazz in the Park Happy Hour and get great drink specials from 5-6pm!
Jazz in the Park is produced by a non-profit organization and asks that you leave your adult beverages at home. All proceeds from sales at Jazz in the Park help offset the high costs of production and ensure the continued success of the festival. Please do your part to support this event.

Reserve a movie online and get one free from Redbox!

Have you tried renting movies or video games from Redbox yet? I have been a fan for a while but recently wanted to make sure that I was able to get a movie this past weekend so I reserved it online! Very easy-I found the movie on Redbox.com found my closest box with the movie-rented and paid and then when I got there all I had to do was put my credit card in and the movie popped out! Easy peasey, lemon squeezy.

So we are having a movie and pizza party after school this week. I didn't want to miss the movie so I reserved it on line and in my account there was a free rental!
