YAY! My husband took 4th place!

My husband just found out he took 4th place in Class 561 Alcohol Infused Cookie for the Wisconsin State Fair. He made a Jack Daniels Cookie with Pecans.

He has been entering baked goods for the last 4 years and has always brought at least one ribbon home! :)
Make sure to check out his cookie if you go to the fair this year-his name is Josh Price exhibitor number 282.

CVS Coupon Policy Changes

Well, the time has come.... CVS has made some adjustments to their coupon policy. Nothing too "extreme" however... CVS does not have a link on their website to print the coupon policy. If you'd like more information, you can call CVS headquarters at 1-888-607-4CVS (1-888-607-4287).

The basic big changes are as follows:

You CANNOT use a BOGO coupon along with another Dollar-Off coupon.
You CANNOT use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale.
You CAN use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.
You CAN use a BOGO coupon and a CVS coupon on a sale.

Have you already seen these coupon policy changes implemented? It helps if we spread the word so there is less confusion at the checkout line at CVS. Please share this news with your friends.

If you haven't you are really missing out on a Milwaukee landmark. I started going to Leon's when I was a kiddo, it is fun sitting in the car and enjoying your custard or delicious food.

Leon's does not have french fries but they do have delicious Spanish Burgers (kind of like a sloppy joe).
If you have never been to Leon's it is time to try it!

New Chuck E Cheese Pizza Review

Review of Chuck E Cheese Pizza

My wonderful wife was provided an opportunity to review the new pizza at Chuck E Cheese. We were given a card that gave us a large pizza, 4 sodas, and 30 tokens. Some of these cards were given away as winnings in a recent trivia contest on the site.

We took our 7 month old niece with us to the restaurant. When we arrived each of us was stamped with a number that can only be read under black light. I didn't realize why until we left, they check you if are leaving with a child to make sure that it is a child that you arrived with, pretty good idea. Betsy's parents and her uncle joined us shortly after we arrived.

We ordered two pizzas, a sausage mushroom and onion (a Milwaukee staple), and a sausage pepperoni and mushroom. We grabbed a seat by the stage so our niece could be entertained by the animatronic performers. Since we brought a baby, I got to use most of the tokens, I really like the skee ball game. I played for a little while until our pizzas arrived, it wasn't a long wait at all. The pizzas were quite good. The crust was crunchy, the cheese and toppings were plentiful, and they weren't overly saucy. I have not been to Chuck E Cheese for a long time, so I don't remember what their pizza used to be like, but their new pizza is delicious, there weren't any leftovers.

After we were done eating, we finished off the tokens, earning a total of 140 tickets (I'm pretty sure that was some kind of record). We turned in our tickets for some small trinkets, you can buy up to get some bigger items if you so choose.

The Chuck E Cheese's in our area open before 10am, so you can go early to miss some of the crowds if you want. We went to the Chuck E Cheese on Highway 100 just north of Oklahoma Ave, it seemed really fresh on the inside, things were clean, I didn't see any games that were out of order, and the staff was attentive and friendly.

I was impressed with the total experience. I am even going to see if you can order the pizza for carryout.

Star Rock for Kids! CD Review

My children love to hear songs sung by children. I think they feel as if they can relate more. I recently was given a copy of Star Rock for Kids! to review and my children are hooked! My daughter really liked listening to the "pretty voices." We listened to this today as we were cleaning and the kids got a kick out of it and I even caught my two year old tapping to the music! This premiere CD features children and teens from ages 5 - 17 singing hits from past decades to today's hottest songs. I love the idea that children are given a platform to pursue their dreams.

TerraCycle is one of my favorite companies-I follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook. I am also a brigade member and our before and after school program has raised over $200.00 just by sending in our garbage! We use the funds to purchase new games and art supplies. TerraCycle collects certain waste streams like juice pouches, chip bags, candy wrappers and a lot more. They "recycle" these items and create new items like school supplies, gardening supplies, household items and more.
I have a number of TerraCycle items that I use one a daily basis-a clock made out of a record, a flower put, a juice pouch tote bag, a candy wrapper purse, a pencil pouch, a lunch bag, plant food and a couple other items. They are well made and I have received a lot of compliments on each of them!
