Rock 'n Learn Money and Making Change DVD Review and Giveaway ENDS 9/17/11 11:59pm CST
I was recently sent the Money and Making Change DVD from Rock 'n Learn. My six year old loved it. She was super excited that she knew how to count by fives and tens as they do in the video. She was happy to share her knowledge with her younger brothers as well. It was super cute and, as always from any Rock 'n Learn DVD, VERY educational! The songs and tunes stick with the kids and I hear them singing parts of songs throughout the day. These DVDs are great when you need to get some work done around the house. You don't feel guilty allowing them to watch while you clean because they really are learning as they watch!
How would you like to win one of these DVDs for your home collection? One lucky My Milwaukee Mommy reader will win one of their own!

Don't forget to watch 'Game Time: Tackling the Past' tonight!
I was able to watch an advaned screening of the movie
Game Time: Tackling the Past. Tune into the TV premeire of Game Time: Tackling the Past on Saturday, September 3rd on NBC at 8pmET/7pmCT.
Check out the official Family Movie Night website at http://bit.ly/nCZtG8
You can also like Family Movie Night on Facebook by following this link: http://www.facebook.com/
My husband and I watched Game Time: Tackling the Past while enjoying dinner together. The movie started out with some home football movies. There were a few flashbacks to when the main character was in high school football practice and games. There are quite a few actors and actresses that you will recognize in the film. (Catherine Hicks-the mom from 7th Heaven, Ryan McPartlin-'Awesome' from one of my favorite shows Chuck, Beau Bridges-a lot of shows and movies, Josh Braaten-Semi Pro and a few others).
There is family conflict and personal conflicts that are dealt with in the film. There is also a love story and family values that are brought to the forefront of the movie when the father (Beau Bridges) falls ill. There is conflict between the brothers (Ryan McPartlin and Josh Braaten) and coming to piece with an issue they had when younger. Ryan McPartlin is a pro football player that has a bum knee and is having a difficult time playing. When his father falls ill he goes home (which he hasn't visited for a while). That is when some family drama ensues as well as a little love story.
After some of the conflicts get resolved inside the family Ryan McPartlin's character still needs to do some soul searching and decide whether to return to professional football or settle down in the small town life of his youth.
If part of your family really enjoys sports they will enjoy the movie even if they aren't into the love story.
There was something for everyone.
This film really is family friendly, there are real life conflicts but they are dealt with calmly and reasonably. There are no "harsh words" or innuendos. It really is a movie you can watch together as a family.
So mark your calendar and pick up some popcorn and tune in on September 3rd to NBC at 8pmET/7pmCT.
