As you may have heard Betsy and I spent Thanksgiving in Detroit with my family, I got to see the Packers beat the Lions and then we enjoyed a modified Thanksgiving dinner prepared in the kitchens in our respective suites. We had a nice drive home on Friday and then spent the weekend just enjoying each others company.
Monday night when I got home from work, I realized that we didn't have anything in the house that I could make for dinner, which was a problem because Betsy has an expectation of eating dinner everyday. In somewhat of a panic, I decided on that old standby when you need a quick dinner option, pizza delivery.
I always order online from
Pizza Hut. When I logged on I saw the Big Dinner Box under the Deals section. It only costs $19.99 and comes in quite a large box.
Inside the box you will find 2 medium one topping pan pizzas, 8 chicken wings, and 5 breadsticks with a marinara dipping sauce.
We choose a plain cheese pizza and a sausage pizza. The pan crusts have a light crunch and a slight buttery flavor and the cheese is nice and stringy.
We picked the boneless wings in a honey bbq sauce. They are tender and juicy and sufficiently coated in your chosen sauce flavor.
The breadsticks have a nice seasoning on them and pair very well with the dipping sauce provided.
In all there is a good amount of food to fit varying preferences, more than likely leaving you with leftovers to enjoy the next day. I recommend this as an option to consider ordering if you find yourself in a dinner bind during what can be a busy holiday season.
