Family Tree Haus in Franklin Review

The Haus is the little place for BIG fun in a safe, clean environment. Let your kids be kids and enjoy the multi-faceted indoor playground, specifically designed to accommodate kids from pre-walkers up to age 10 (older siblings are always welcome). Kids can enjoy The Haus while accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The Haus has approximately five thousand square feet of space for kids to explore, featuring distinct play areas filled with age appropriate playground equipment for tots up to 5, and older kids 5 to 10.

I was recenlty given the opportunity to take a neighbor of mine and her two children with my busy crew to Family Tree Haus in Franklin.  I had never been there before, but quickly learned it was, what I felt, was one of the areas hidden gems!  It's like a big indoor playground!  There was so much to do...and the best part?  It had something for everyone to do!  There was not a child disappointed.  For the older kids there is a big play area that has balls, basketball hoops, ride-in cars, swings, and MORE! My children (ages 7, 5, 3, and 1) all loved the playset.  They loved climbing and sliding to their heart's content.  I loved the safety features.  Everything has the latest safety features (rounded corners, not easy-to-access nuts and bolts, rubber flooring...) and was very clean!

All of my sons loved the basketball hoops.  The younger two especially loved being able to "shoot and score!"  Usually when we go places, my younger son has to look longingly as his older brothers shoot some hoops...not this time!  They seemed to think of everything when creating this fun, safe-haven for little ones!   I loved that I was able to watch my younger one shoot some hoops while his two older brothers were just feet away scoring some points as well!

My neighbor has two little girls (6 and 2) who were brought along to play.  My daughter loved zipping along on these neat riding toys with her friend in tow!  They were able to ride around the room with no troubles.  There were quite a few of these, so there was no fighting over who was going to get to ride and who had to wait their turn.

There were swings to occupy the little ones as well.  I liked the swings were in this room (there is a 50 pound weight limit) because it gave me a chance to have my youngest and my neighbor's youngest in the room with the older kids without having to do too much chasing!  It's not my youngest in this picture...he wasn't feeling very photogenic that day!  :)

For the little ones there is another room.  This room is connected to the bigger room through a tiny hallway on one side and a gate on the other.  It's totally open, which I thought was good because it allowed my youngest to go back and forth between his basketball game and his play area!  He loved riding this little Jeep Ride Along back and forth!  This area has very many age-appropriate things for the little ones...including shopping carts, bouncers, rocking horses, and MORE!  It even has things for infants to sit back and enjoy while watching everyone else in action!

All of our children enjoyed playing in this area.  This area is encouraged for the younger children, but since it wasn't too busy on the day we visited, I allowed my older children to entertain themselves for a little bit!

There is another area for the children to entertain themselves.  This "Tot's Club Haus" is filled with fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities for the younger crowd!  There was a train table, books, a kitchen area, a grill, puzzles, and so much more!  This is a great place to have some quiet or creative time!
We are always looking for new and different places to have birthday parties and Family Tree Haus offers some great opportunities!  You can have your party there during normal operating hours or you can rent the whole place out for your party for a little bit more.  This room is the party room...it's also a great place to have your little one nap during regular hours if it's a tad too much for him/her!

After the kids wore themselves out from a good morning of exploration, we decided to have a pizza and juice before we left.  The "Haus Cafe" has many choices of things that kids will love and the parents will approve of as well.  Everything is prepared in the little kitchen area...you can see it being prepared while you wait...I opted to let my children run around while a pizza was being prepared.  It was a Jack's frozen pizza, but it was so nice to have lunch before we left as I was positive the children would fall asleep on the way home (I was right!).  There's also some great snack choices for them to chew on if you decide to go that route.  There is a little area to the side of the bigger play area which has patio tables and chairs for the family to sit and relax while eating their goodies.

If you are planning on heading out the The Family Tree Haus in Franklin, please remember to bring your socks! Everyone has to wear socks, even moms and dads.  This is to ensure the cleanest playing environment possible.  If you forget yours, don't worry...they are available to purchase there.

Most importantly...if you are headed there...make sure to be prepared for a few hours of FUN!  There was not one person in our large party who didn't have a blast (including the adults!).  Fun for the kids = fun for everyone!
