The
Milwaukee County Zoo becomes a perfect backdrop during these Wednesday evenings for wild animals and popular bands to take the spotlight with
Sunset Zoofari concerts: June 27, July 5, 11, 18, 25 and August 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
During
Sunset Zoofari, all of the Zoo’s animal buildings are open (Aviary closes at dusk) for visitors to enjoy.
The 2012 Sunset Zoofari Concerts:
June 27 – “3D”
Enjoy the sounds of this acoustic cover band as they perform a variety of hits from favorites like Simon & Garfunkel, Styx and Journey.
July 5 – “Dirty Boogie”
Join in to hear sounds from pop to rock, as this band features hits from the BoDeans,
Kings of Leon and Black Eyed Peas.
July 11 – “Audio Veil”
Catch Milwaukee’s high energy, dance, pop, hip hop and top 40 band! They’ll mix a unique sound of turntables, live instruments and vocals.
July 18 – “Rebel Grace”
Enjoy one of Milwaukee’s hottest country bands to hear covers from Sugarland, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
July 25 – “Pinstripe”
Three members of Milwaukee’s famous “Toys” will perform pop to rock, and
everything in between.
August 1 – “5 Card Studs”
Enjoy “Vegas Meets the American Band” as chart hits from the 60s and 70s are featured.

Adventure Dinosaur
Venture outside into the prehistoric park to encounter the charismatic creatures that roamed the Earth hundreds of millions of years ago – dinosaurs! New soon-to-be favorites include: Stegoceras, realistic with his set of curved, serrated teeth, and the Chasmosaurus, distinguished by the shape of its enormous frill, spread out over its head in a rectangular shape.
Admission: $2.50 per person
Location: Outside Behind the Small Mammals Building
