Vote for Wisconsin in the Better Homes and Gardens State Fragrance Contest!

Have you checked out the Better Homes and Gardens Scented Wax Warmers and Cubes available exclusively at Walmart stores and Walmart.com?

We were given a challenge to use the Scented Wax Cubes to create a new fragrance that represents Wisconsin!

Now we are the Dairy State and we are a Great State on a Great Lake, we also have the cranberry bogs, the Door County Cherries and so many other wonderful state "trademarks".

I created "Great Lake Summer Sunshine", one part Hawaiian Pineapple Cilantro and two parts Wild Berry Cheesecake  (This was three cubes total.)  Let me tell you that this scent is wonderful!  It is sweet without being over powering and makes me feel bright and cheery.  My mom commented on how nice my "air freshener" smelled when she walked in the other day, I took her to the wax warmer and was surprised such a wonderful fragrance was coming out of a flameless electric warmer.  The challenge was also to pair the scent with an image that represents our state.  I could have gone with a cow, the capital building or a slew of other things but I have always liked this sculpture by the Lakefront (see above).  "The Calling" is the technical name but many Wisconsinites call it "The Sunburst".  I LOVE IT!  I think it certainly represents the scent I created.
