If you ever get the chance see A Chorus Line for a date night!

We had the chance to see A Chorus line tonight at the Milwaukee Theatre. If you are a fan of musicals and dancing this might be the show for you! I had heard of A Chorus Line before but never saw the show or movie before so this was a treat. I was surprised that I knew the two "big" songs that are performed. I guess I never thought about what show they were from. There some great dancing numbers. The show is a little sad, a dancer's life is tough and that is certainly evident in the show. I liked the costuming, the majority of the show is very relaxed in the costuming but then at the end the chorus is decked out in their show costumes. I think the kick line was pretty impressive. :)

MILWAUKEE – (November 19, 2012) – A CHORUS LINE, winner of 12 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize, is back on tour with a new production. The show is coming to the Milwaukee Theatre for two performances Friday, Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m and Saturday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now!

Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased online at milwaukeetheatre.com via ticketmaster.com or at the Milwaukee Theatre box office (500 W. Kilbourn Ave. Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Convenience fees may apply.

A CHORUS LINE focuses on 17 dancers, all auditioning for the chance of a lifetime- to be in a Broadway musical. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It's the one opportunity to do what they've always dreamed -- to have the chance to dance.

The original production of A CHORUS LINE opened at the Public Theater’s Newman Theatre in 1975 and transferred to Broadway’s Shubert Theatre later that year. The show was directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winning director, writer, choreographer and dancer, Michael Bennett. The score was written by award-winning composer, Marvin Hamlisch and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Score and Book, and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award.

A CHORUS LINE ran for nearly 15 years, closing in 1990 after 6,137 performances. The show held the title of the longest-running American musical in Broadway history for 28 years from 1983-2011 (when it was surpassed by Chicago)

This all new production will be directed and restaged by Baayork Lee, an original cast member of the show and assistant to Michael Bennett. Lee is an internationally acclaimed actress, singer, dancer, director and veteran choreographer.

One of my favorite deals include Princess Costumes for $24.99. This is a great deal to scoop up on now and save for Halloween. This is how I almost always get costumes for my daughter! The quality and details that the Disney Store costumes provide is superb! If you are thinking about these, however, the sizes are slim pickings, but there are a few to choose from!

Another favorite of mine are these small tumblers for $3.99. My children LOVE these...and so do I! During the summer I bought a few of these for myself. I ended up buying a few more and asking for some for Christmas presents. I love that the straw will not come out of the cups. We filled them up with water this summer and sat in the backyard with a pitcher and the kids loved them.

One more favorite? I really like these Vinylmation Key Chains for $4.99! Honestly, I don't LOVE the designs...I don't really even think these Vinylmations are all that cute, but my kids DO...and they LOVE to collect them! These keychains are their favorites! When we were in Disney last I got one for each of them. It was their favorite gift they received! Kids and keychains...not quite sure I understand it myself, but they love them!

New Year's Tip #3

Don't go grocery shopping when you are hungry or sick. Sometimes this cannot be avoided.

If you are hungry while shopping you tend to buy more items you really don't need and you also tend to pick up "not as healthy" items. You might want to get in the habit of always having gum with you so you can chew while you shop, this should curb your appetite for a little bit and help you get through your trip.

When you are sick shopping is no fun. Sometimes you must get to the store and pick up essentials, medicine or orange juice. If you can try and ask someone else to go, if that is not an option make the trip as easy as possible, go in and get just what you need. Bundle up and maybe pick up a hot tea or soothing treat for yourself.
