Super Easy Valentine's Decoration...Large Heart

I have been on an easy craft kick!  I have done this one two different ways, I am not really happy with this version and I will tell you why...

I took my large silicone heart shaped pan and added water, it is flimsy so put a pan under it.  

Add food coloring...

I was trying to make it marbly, it looks neat doesn't it?  

I think because of the high winds yesterday and because I didn't add the food coloring when the pan was in it's freezing place the colors muddled and turned out like this...

I am still happy with it but was inspired to make another one, it will be ready tomorrow, it is sitting outside right now. :)  I will share when it is done.  I added glitter and only one color.  I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I think it is a fun, subtle decoration.  I am planning on leaving the new one I make on my parent's porch Wednesday night and a little gift, granted they won't be able to keep it but it will be a cute I Love You in the morning.

We have used these a few times (Transfer Pizza is our favorite place to get these certificates, they sell out fast though.)  You may want to check out restaurants you have never been to or look for a favorite.  I think we will be trying Milwaukee Sail Loft and Fernando's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina.  

When you get a Restaurant.com certificate you just tell the server and give them the certificate.  Usually when it is a $25 value you will need to have a bill minimum of about $35.  There might be other restrictions like adult beverages.  These are a great way to save when you want to go out!
