Have you ever taken or considered taking a class through your local community parks and recreation center?
There are always a variety of classes for people of all ages and 55 or older usually have a special section! Swimming, Arts and Crafts, Cooking, Travel, Finances, Computers, Health and Fitness the list goes on! I find that the community classes are an excellent value and are well worth the time and cost. I have taken jewelry making, canvas floor cloth painting, chair painting, ballroom dance, belly dancing, country line dancing and will be signing up for a few more classes in fall! Give them a try! Below I posted a few community education or parks and recreation links, even if you are not in that specific community you can still take the classes but the cost is a little more.
