Have you heard of the TimeBuddy?  We have been trying our TimeBuddy for the last 2 weeks and Ann has seen a change in her daughter and oldest son's schedules and I have seen a time management change with the children I work with!
The TimeBuddy when used correctly will help children learn and understand a structured routine.  Children really do need a structured schedule that has a balance of play and free times as well as times when they know that things need to get done, they also need to know that there are transition times.  Knowing that there is a schedule and being able to follow it gives children a sense of security and responsibility.  It is also easier for them to learn what is expected of them thus learning responsibility and being able to follow rules.
The TimeBuddy comes with a variety of stickers that you use to show your child what will happen throughout the day.  Ann had her two older children help with the set up of the stickers from waking up in the morning, getting ready for the day, walking to school, having an afternoon snack, relaxation time, storytime before bed , bedtime prayers and sleeping.  Ann's kiddos love the personalization option of being able to record their own message, and the nightlight.
My TimeBuddy is being used at work-I set up the nighttime hours and had a couple younger and a couple older children help with the stickers, we started with the arrival before school, then school hours, after school snack, outside time, homework time, activities, group games and going home.  My kiddos like that they can look at the clock, even if they don't know how to tell time and see what we are going to be doing next.
The morning routine at Ann's house has become a bit easier-Ann's daughter is getting better at understanding that there is a limited time before school starts and that there are certain things that need to get done before they can walk out the door.  Throughout the day Ann's son knows that after breakfast he will have some free time before they work on other things around the house, when clean up time is before nap and when his sister will be coming home from school!  The whole night is easier because the kids know when dinner is approaching and when it is time to wind down and get ready for bed.
After school the students know when snack time is coming and that we will then be transitioning to go outside, homework, and other activities.
The TimeBuddy really is helping both of our 'children' to see what needs to be done before moving onto something else and how much time they have before a different aspect of their day is about to happen!

The TimeBuddy runs on 3 AA batteries which are included, so all you need to do is set it up and it is ready to use!

The TimeBuddy has become a permanent staple in both of our everyday lives and another great thing is as our needs change we can change the stickers on the TimeBuddy to what is needed!
