Yummy Meatloaf Recipe

So, I am not a big meatloaf eater.  But, we are on a tight budget these days, so, I wanted something that was good and cheap!  I was able to make this meatloaf using mostly stuff that I had around the house.  This was a favorite of mine and my husband who said that he doesn't even like meatloaf loved this.  To each his own, but I thought I would share.  I found this on a box of Lipton Onion Dry Soup Mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 3/4 cups of bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cups of water
  • 1/3 cups of ketchup
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
  2. Shape into loaf in 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan.
  3. Bake uncovered 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
* For a bit of added flavor, I put some soy sauce in the mixture.  I usually just sprinkle it in there to taste, but you can take it or leave it depending on your tastes...growing up we seasoned everything with soy sauce (makes for some great steak!)

Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did!  Let me know if you try it and how it turns out!
