I was so happy to get a copy of a bunch of fun games for review recently. I was able to get:
-Bananagrams
-Fruitominoes
-Appletters
-Zip It
-Pairs in Pears
All of these games were fun. We had a great time playing these games as a family one night recently while waiting to be seated at a busy restaurant. It was crazy busy, so there was an unusually long wait. So, I pulled out Bananagrams and we played that. My six year old loved showing her ability to spell. We were then seated and pulled out Zip-It for my husband and I to battle it out while waiting for our food to be served. We also pulled out Pairs in Pears. This was more friendly for the younger ones, as was Fruitominoes. Let me just say that EVERYONE had a great time at the restaurant that night. When we got home we wanted to try our hands at Appletters. This was fun, but a little more challenging for the younger ones to understand the concept.
All in all, every single one of these games is a blast! These games are all great for good, quality family time. We loved every one of them for different reasons. I loved that my boys could team up on the two girls. I would wait to play most of the games until the kids are really good at spelling as we did have a couple meltdowns with my five year old when he didn't quite understand or know how to spell a word. However, overall, if you play as teams...this is GREAT fun! I love that there are so many different levels and concepts of game play with each game!
