How I saved on my Halloween treats last year...

Last year I saved a bit of money and ordered our Halloween treats through the Oriental Trading Company.  I don't hand out candy I find great toys, tattoos and other trinkets from the Oriental Trading Company and give those out!  Last year it was Halloween shaped silly bands and tattoos, I still have some let over so I will continue to hand those out plus the goodies I order this year!  (Not only do I have to order less for this year but now we don't have a ton of left over candy that we really don't need to have around anyway.)

My mom decorates and raffles off pumpkins at work, she ordered these really cute pumpkin decorating kits and it took her no time to decorate 20 pumpkins!  (The year previous we painted them-a lot of time and we had to wait for the paint to dry and apply a number of layers.)

I think these look neat.  I am not a big toe showing person but love having some great shoes while wearing shorts and capris in the summer-sometimes athletic shoes are too bulky!

These sandals look to have a little slit in the toe area (cute) and have a strap in the back.  The sandals retail for $79.50 so you would be paying $44.50.  There are also styles for kiddos.

Pay it Forward to Your Family and Others with the LIFE Foundation...

Do you think about your child/families future if something were to happen to you?  I know it is a scary thought.  When my husband and I got married and my new sister in law ans her husband started having kiddos they had to take into account what they would do if something happened to them.  Where would the kids go if something happened, how would there futures be protected financially?  They have a separate account open in case of that scary scenario and they also have life insurance policies.  They then asked my husband and myself to take care of the kiddos (now three of them).  There are so many things to think about when the little loves of your life join your family it is not only what school will they go to and how are we going to raise them or what diapers to use,  you have to consider what will happen if you are not around to make those decisions.  It is better to consider your scary options than to leave things to chance, after all that is part of being a parent-making the really tough decisions for the people you love.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, now is not the time to hesitate, take the time to look into the financial security of your family. The nonprofit LIFE Foundation sponsors Life Insurance Awareness Month in response to the growing problem of too many families not having adequate life insurance protection. By adding your photos to the mosaic not only will you be showing your commitment to your family but you will also be Paying it Forward! For each photo uploaded, $1 will be donated to the LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program, which provides tuition assistance to students who have lost a parent and are struggling to achieve their dream of a college education.

Check out your insurance options or maybe you have already made your future plans.  Once you have set things into motion to protect your future head to the LIFE Foundation's Facebook fan page, located at www.facebook.com/lifehappens.org and upload your photos.
