I have been using a GardenTech Worry Free product called Worry Free Ready to Use Dust. This has a special formulation of pyrethrins, a botanical insecticide naturally-derived from Chrysanthemum flowers, the GardenTech Worry Free products are to be used as insecticides to keep pests away from your harvest of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants or flowers and they are safe enough to use around children. As you can see Niecey likes helping out with the gardening. :) We planted tomatoes, peppers, a sweet mint and a Stevia (a natural sweetner) plant. GardenTech® Worry Free® Insecticides are available in concentrate, dust, hose-accessible (ready-to-spray) and ready-to-use formulations. I chose the dust because I liked the idea of being able to see where I was applying the insecticide.
The neat thing about the GardenTech Worry Free Insecticides is that they can be used at anytime throughout the season and can be used up until the day before you harvest!
The line of specialized insecticides provide fast-acting, effective control of more than 250 crawling and flying insects, including ants, caterpillars, mites and Japanese beetles. I have seen a number of flying pests around our garden and honestly since I dusted I really have not seen anything around there!
