Gathering By The Waters Festival this Saturday, May 24

Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee, in partnership with Discovery World, proudly present GATHERING BY THE WATERS FESTIVAL at Lakeshore State Park on Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

We encourage everyone to bring their musical talents, environmental enthusiasm, and family & friends to enjoy an afternoon filled with good ol' fashioned, down to earth Wisconsin fun.

Also -- don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets to make the most of your listening experience! There will be grassy areas throughout Lakeshore State Park to relax and enjoy breathtaking views.

The event will also give you an opportunity to:

Watch as the S/V Denis Sullivan makes her entrance into the harbor.

Bring your instruments and voices to participate in a Pete Seeger-style hootenanny.

Listen to live folk and rock musicians perform in honor of the legacy of Pete Seeger and his connection to the S/V Denis Sullivan.

Enjoy fare from local food trucks.

Participate in environmental activities from Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee member organizations + themed family projects in Discovery World labs and studios.

Take advantage of FREE deck tours of the S/V Denis Sullivan all day.
