This year marks the sixth Annual Nexcare give campaign, a program by Nexcare Bandages, America’s Blood Centers and The American Red Cross to raise awareness about the vital need for blood donation during the summer months. The Nexcare give campaign is an annual nationwide blood donation initiative that encourages Americans to donate blood and bring attention to World Blood Donor Day – Saturday, June 14.
Exclusive for 2014, Nexcare is launching free, limited-edition give Bandages inspired by 5 artistic movements, including Abstract, Contemporary, Impressionism, Pop Art and Street Art, to celebrate “The Art of Giving.” Visitors to the Nexcare Brand Facebook page, can sign up to receive free, limited-edition bandages, locate community blood centers, share personal stories and show their price among the give community of supporters. Blood donation centers across the country will also be joining in this celebration and distributing give bandages to those who donate blood from Monday, June 9th to Saturday, June 14th.
This year’s Nexcare give campaign will be introduced by give spokesperson, Supermodel Niki Taylor. Following her 2001 near-fatal car accident for which she credits blood transfusions with saving her life, Niki has become involved with the American Red Cross and the Nexcare give campaign to honor World Blood Donor Day and to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation.
