An Easy and Delicious "Carryout" Dinner from Sendik's

When Betsy and I were at Sendik's one day we walked past the deli area and saw a sign advertising a Tuesday night dinner deal.  When you buy 2 pounds of prepared sloppy joes you get 6 kaiser rolls for free.  I had seen plenty of hot ham and roll deals, but I had never seen a sloppy joe deal before.

We went the very next Tuesday to give it a try.  There were containers of the sloppy joes pre-packed and on ice in front of the deli, with the rolls right next to them.  It only costs $7.99, and here is what you get.

The sloppy joes had bits of celery and green peppers, the latter of which along with the seasoning gives the mixture a slight bit of spiciness.  The sloppy joes are made with black angus ground beef, which makes them very tasty.  The rolls were very big and very soft.

We just reheated it in the microwave a little at a time and put together our sandwiches.

So if you are in need of a quick dinner idea on a Tuesday night, remember you can stop by your local Sendik's and pick up some sloppy joes and buns, because they already made dinner for you.

Thanks for reading.

-Mr. Betsy
