Milwaukee, WI (May, 2012)—Dunkin' Donuts, America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, will host a grand opening celebration at the new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant located at 2068 Miller Parkway, two blocks from Miller Park in West Milwaukee, at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 19.  Former Milwaukee Brewers players Jim Gantner and Gorman Thomas will be on site along with Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes to help commemorate the event and give away 100 pairs of Brewers tickets.
Gantner and Thomas will meet with guests and participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the local franchise owners and Jean Grossman, Vice President-Midwest for Dunkin’ Brands.  As part of its commitment to the people and communities in which it operates, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $2,500 to Special Olympics Wisconsin to help support the organization’s Softball and Tee Ball teams.  Dunkin’ Donuts also will donate $500 to the West Allis Central High School band, which will perform during festivities until 10a.m.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Gantner and Thomas will pull the name of one lucky winner, who will be awarded free Dunkin’ Donuts coffee for a  year*.  KISS-FM will be on site from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. to give away Wisconsin Dells coupon books and other station prizes.
The new Dunkin’ Donuts location is the fourth restaurant opening by the Milwaukee Coffee Brewing Co., a partnership of six Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees who together operate more than 370 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants.  The partnership, which operates Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Menomonee Falls, Oak Creek and Whitefish Bay, plans to open 30 new Dunkin’ Donuts locations in southeastern Wisconsin over the next four years.
The new Miller Park location is open from 5 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week.  It employs approximately 40 crew members and features a modern look that provides a fresh, friendly, vibrant, and engaging environment for guests.  Complete with a warm interior color palette, the restaurant offers comfortable indoor and outdoor guest seating and atmospheric lighting.  Additionally, the restaurant has a drive-thru for busy people on the go.
The restaurant has also been fitted with a number of environmentally-conscious features designed to conserve energy, reduce waste and utilize resources as efficiently as possible both inside and outside of the restaurant.  These include reduced exterior lighting to decrease light pollution, high-efficiency LED light fixtures and illuminated signage, new insulated glass and shading for exterior glass.
The new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant will offer high-quality menu items that can be enjoyed all day, including signature favorites such as a wide-variety of hot and iced coffee, flavored coffees, lattes, Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup Packs, Coolatta frozen slush drinks, muffins, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, Bakery sandwiches including ham, turkey, chicken salad and tuna salad, and a DDSMART menu featuring better-for-you items to offer guests even more choices.
