The Dirty Girl Mud Run is going to be in the Milwaukee area on August 17 & 18 --where it first started in 2011!

Dirty Girl is the original and largest women-only national mud run series, and it's continuing its 15-city summer tour at the Waukesha County Expo Center. Just over 3,700 women are already signed up to participate.

Besides being a fantastic way to bond with friends and family, Dirty Girl brings so many heartwarming stories about women of all ages to the forefront. Here are just a few:

· At least 1 cancer survivor runs in every wave of a Dirty Girl run; this could mean hundreds of proud survivors any one event. Survivors always run free of charge.

· Army wives frequently run in teams with ladies whose husbands are all stationed in the same place; their camaraderie is uplifting and inspiring.

· The average participant age is 38, but the oldest Dirty Girls have been in their eighties

All women ages 14 and up are welcome to participate. NO TRAINING required!

In 2013, Dirty Girl expects to donate $300,000 to breast cancer charities nationwide. Cancer survivors always run free of charge.

I will be running in this event this year.  It will be my third 5K at that point.  I can't wait!  What a feeling of accomplishment and FUN as you surround yourself with other women determined to get good and dirty!
