This is the round-up of all the hottest events happening in Waukesha County and the Metro-Milwaukee area for the weekend. For a full listing of the activities and events for the day, check out Lake Country Family Fun's calendar full of fun events everyday of the week!!

Thursday November 21st-

Free Admission to Betty Brinn- US Bank & Fox 6 Neighborhood Night-

Enjoy free admission on the third Thursday of every month from 5 – 8 p.m., courtesy of US Bank and FOX 6.

Milwaukee Holiday Light Festival-

Pere Marquette Park will be set to lights this holiday season! There will be ice sculpting, a visit from SANTA, bands on the stage, and dancers to make the heart skip with delight! You will want to bring the whole family and create a tradition of seeing the park filling the night with thousands of lights. There will be a firework show synchronized to holiday hits to end the night. Just to make sure you don’t get too cold there will be free hot cocoa and cookies! The Jingle Bus will connect you to all the sights!

Music Under Glass-

The Milwaukee Domes is bringing Music Under Glass back again this year. There will be a variety of musicians filling the Domes with wonderful music! Don’t forget that there will be a light show during the breaks and at the end of the evening!

Friday November 22nd-

Christmas Tree Lighting-Waukesha-

Head to the Rotunda in Downtown Waukesha for the annual Christmas Tree lighting. There will be hot cocoa, and Christmas caroling will be led by Waukesha Choral Union and the choirs from Butler, Central, and Horning Middle Schools. Your family is invited to be a part of breaking a Guinness World Book of Caroling Record while caroling through the festive streets of downtown Waukesha.

Santa will be appearing along with live reindeer for children to see.

Horse Drawn Carriage rides will be available from 6:30-8:30 PM.

Hartland Lights/Tree Lighting-

Downtown Hartland will be celebrating Hartland Lights on Friday November 22nd. The community is invited to come to carol by the tree, and see the official tree lighting ceremony. Children are invited to join in the Children’s Parade (Line up at 6:15 pm at Illustrations Photography 235 E. Capitol Dr) with Santa at 6:20 pm. There will be so much to do while visiting Downtown Hartland, many businesses will have special offers and train displays in their windows. Don’t miss the bagpiper and community sing along. There will a Free Trolley service sponsored by Hartland BID running throughout town.

Saturday November 23rd-

87th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Parade-

Join in the fun of the 87th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Parade, don’t worry if you can’t make it downtown for the parade, there will be live coverage on Fox 6. There will be marching bands, giant helium balloons, floats, walking groups and more. Make sure you bring non perishable foods to donate during the parade! Don’t forget to wave to Santa as he goes by.

Muskego’s Country Christmas-

Muskego’s Country Christmas is packing the Saturday before Thanksgiving with a great time! It is the 50th anniversary of this local tradition, with the theme of Muskego’s Golden Christmas! The parade begins at 1:00pm (down Pioneer Drive from Janesville to the Settlement Centre) and there will be Holiday festivities after the parade at Muskego Settlement Center until 5:00 pm. There will be hay rides, and train rides available for a nominal fee, concessions, puppet show, live nativity. Don’t forget there will be a food collection for the Food Pantry.

Sunday November 24th-

Winter Farmer Market-Oconomowoc-

Fresh veggies, and artisans galore will fill up Oconomowoc Landscape! You just never know what you will find while you are browsing the various vendors!

Waukesha Christmas Parade-

The Annual Waukesha Christmas Parade is a staple for our family. Head to downtown Waukesha and see the marching bands, floats, and event SANTA! Make sure the kids bring their letters for Santa as they will be collected along the route. The theme for this years parade is “Songs of the Christmas Season”
