I was recently given some Blue Lizard Sunscreen to review. I was able to review Face, Baby, Sensitive, and Sport. But there are five formulas available: Face, Baby, Sensitive, Sport, and Regular. All are broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage (SPF 30+…all the coverage you need!)

Baby and Sensitive are paraben-free, chemical-free and fragrance-free
Face is also oil-free and all formulations are mineral-based containing Zinc Oxide.

My honest opinion? I am sold! This stuff is golden to me! It goes on so smoothly and is NOT greasy. That's a deal-breaker for me in sunscreen as I can't stand the feeling of sunscreen on my skin. I like a soft, lotion feel - not greasy and smelly! This is neither greasy nor does it have that sunscreen smell I have grown accustom to with my previous brand.

My son and I had some fun outdoors earlier this week when the sun finally peeked out! I allowed him to lather it on himself. He said, "Mama, it's soft!" And...it was! His skin was not greasy nor streaky from application. And he was protected - which is what really matters most! I'm used to having to apply and reapply every 60 minutes to ensure his skin stays protected - he has his daddy's sensitive skin! A plus? They have a Smart Bottle that turns blue (or pink for the baby formula) when exposed to UV light. Why do I love that so much? Not only is it a super cool feature that had my children running back and forth inside and out testing out, but it is a reminder to LATHER UP! We are outside A LOT in the warmer months and I so often am fooled into the overcast skies just to step back in the house and ache an hour later and realize the cause of that aching is sun exposure and sunburn! This 5 oz Smart Bottle and the Smart Cap on the 3 oz tubes will serve as a constant reminder when we are exposed to harmful UV rays!
