One of my most treasured possessions in life is my memories.  I love having mementos...thoughts...that can bring me back to a specific moment.  To a specific place.  To a specific time.  One of my favorite ways to capture my memories is through photos.  It is rare, as a family of six, that we have our moments captured as a whole.  It is usually my husband who is behind the camera as we go about our lives and, as a result, he misses the photos.  I hate that he isn't in more pictures...that is why I was so excited to have the opportunity to be photographed by Melissa Morgan Photography!

Before the shoot, Melissa and I messaged back and forth so that she could get to my family a bit better.  She got to know me and my family and she wanted to envision a good photo shoot.  She suggested the venue based off recommendations, so we met out at the beach.  We met one evening right before sunset and she was ready to roll!

She had some great ideas for photos.  She did some with all of us and some individual shots!  My husband and I haven't had our pictures taken alone together in YEARS!  She captured some great shots of us...with and without the children!

Let's be honest...photographing a family of six is hard work.  But, Melissa worked her magic and got some awesome shots!  We got so many compliments. It is so hard to catch us all in the moment. I love that she was able to get posed photos as well as candid!  The children were getting restless, but Melissa kept snapping the photos and got some great ones to add to her portfolio - and we got some excellent ones to add to our wall!

My daughter just turned 11.  Let's be real, it's hard to catch this girl in a belly laugh.  She had such a great time with this photo session and I was so happy to have his moment captured!  She looks so...happy!

 Boys are a little more difficult to capture in action.  But, by these photos you can't tell that there were any issues!  My sons had a great time hamming it up for Melissa.  She was great with the boys and she captured their true personality in each photo!

She took each boy off to the side and had them work their magic for the camera.  I was impressed with her patience and gentle, nurturing personality with my boys!

She took so many photos.  And, from what I could tell, they all turned out great!  It was so hard to choose what pictures to use in the post, as you can imagine!  Her talent definitely shows in her work and I am truly honored to have met and worked with Melissa!
