Recently my family took a mini-vacay and headed out to Blue Harbor Resort and Conference Center! It's a short drive from Milwaukee - only taking us about an hour to get there from our home. What can I say...It's Better at The Blue!
What a great way to spend a weekend! We had a great time in the waterpark and at the arcade. I loved that the waterpark wasn't too big as I was able to easily keep an eye on all the kids from a central location. With four kids at different ages and with different interests, this is key to enjoying your time at any waterpark! The kids loved that they were able to do their own thing at their own pace. My two children who previously HATED waterslides got a taste and couldn't get enough! I haven't been on waterslides so much since I was a child! They kept dragging me on - and I was loving it!
The kids had a great time in our spacious room and exploring all that the resort had to offer. I loved waking up to the view from our room every morning (see picture above - yes, that's from our balcony!)! The location of Blue Harbor is perfect! It's right on the lake, so there are so many opportunities to explore and get out - the only problem we had was that our kids never wanted to leave the resort! When we did get out, so much was in walking distance!
I was given the opportunity during our recent stay at Blue Harbor Resort and Conference Center to get a Mini Escape package from the Reflections Spa and Salon! This treatment includes a 30 minute Signature Massage, a 30 minute Signature Facial, and a Classic Manicure.
The massage was so relaxing and left me regretting not doing a full hour massage. However, the next treatment (the facial) was just as relaxing...and left me wanting more! I felt fully pampered, totally relaxed, and refreshed when I went to get my manicure. I LOVED the colors I got to choose from and I was so happy that the manicure lasted for quite a while. I am very hard on my nails and the manicure lasted well over a week...and that was after quite a few dips in the pool as well as much hot tub time!
Let's be honest here, mamas, we don't pamper ourselves enough! This whole experience made me realize I NEED to do this more...for myself AND for my family! Not sure about you, but I have no problem spending money and spoiling my children, but when it comes to myself, I always take a back seat!
