The Wisconsin State Fair is kicking off August 4th and running through August 14th.  There are always a ton of different promotions to take advantage of while there.

PRE-FAIR PROMO: Young Bucks fans, ages 5-12, can receive a free youth State Fair admission ticket after signing up for the Bango’s Kids Club, sponsored by BMO Harris Bank, in the month of July. Those tickets are valid on Tuesday, August 9 only from 10am-6pm.

For four weekends this summer, satisfy your Fair food cravings by coming to the Fair Food Drive-Thru presented by Bank Five Nine. Get your State Fair favorites like corn dogs and cheese curds, plus lots more!

Vendors and menu items will change each week. For safety, all Fair Food Drive-Thru items are intended to be enjoyed at home. All service will be drive-up only and participants are asked to stay in their vehicles to maintain social distancing.

Wisconsin State Fair Carry In Policy 2019

I absolutely LOVE the Wisconsin State Fair, but it can be EXPENSIVE.  Even though I love the food and getting a great sampling from many different vendors, I can't always afford a day of the Fair's samplings, especially since we visit the Fair at least three times!

One thing my family does every year is pack a soft-sided cooler full of  plastic BOTTLES of soda and water (cans and glass bottles are not permitted).  The savings add up!  For the kids I also bring in juice boxes for them to drink.

You can also bring in snacks.  I usually throw a few bags of snack-size chips for the kids to snack on while we are walking for a quick snack.  

If you are on a budget and don't mind lugging around a little cooler/bag all day long, this is a great option to have.

KOHL’S FAMILY VALUE DAY - MONDAY, AUGUST 4
Families save big during Kohl’s Family Value Day, Monday, August 4, at the Wisconsin State Fair. ALL Fairgoers will be eligible for discounted Fair admission from 8 am – 6 pm thanks to a partnership with Kohl’s Cares. Adults will receive $5 admission (a 50% savings) and youth 11 and under will receive FREE admission.

UW-MADISON DAY - WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6
Receive $4 off adult admission until 4 pm with your donation of selected school supplies or with a cash donation at any admission entrance on UW–Madison Day, Wednesday, August 6. For a list of needed school supplies, visit statefair.wisc.edu. Proceeds benefit students at Milwaukee Public Schools.

MILLER HIGH LIFE VETERANS & MILITARY RECOGNITION DAY - SUNDAY, AUGUST 10
Veterans, Military personnel and their family members will receive FREE admission to the Fair on Sunday, August 10 until 4 pm. Simply present your Military ID (DD214, VA ID, Military Common Access Card, or Dependent ID) at any admission entrance and receive FREE admission for you and up to three (3) family members courtesy of Miller High Life. Limit four (4) free admissions per ID.
