FREE Family Fun: Peck Flicks at The Marcus Center The Muppet Movie, 7/25

Peck Flicks at the Marcus Center is starting up July 25th!  Peck Flicks is a free series of family friendly movies shown outdoors in Peck Pavilion. Open for seating and food/drink service at 6:00 pm, movies will typically start around 7:45 pm, depending on darkness. No carry in food or drink. Seating is general admission, arrive early for the best seats.

Check out this fun Concerts in the Park series at Jackson Park!

Concerts take place on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 8:30.  There's a little something for everyone!

Family Day at Bradford Beach this Sunday, July 21 from 1 - 4pm

This Sunday, July 21, from 1 to 4, take your kids down to Family Day at Bradford Beach!

Here's just some of the fun that you can expect:

Family Day Activity: Sand Castle Building Contest for Kids
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Kiwanis, the Friends of Bradford Beach official service group sponsor this summer, will be hosting the “back-by-popular-demand” Sand Castle Building Contest. So, bring the kids and let their creative juices fly. No need to stay inside the lines. We’ll supply the tools. The sand is the palette. All you have to do is come to the beach. Official contest times are 2:00 and 3:00.

The age groups will be: 3-5, 6-8, 9-11.

Fabulous prizes!
*Beach toys donated by Kiwanis Milwaukee.

Family Day Activity:Treasure Hunt for Kids
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Do your kids love to search for hidden treasures? If so, bring 'em to the beach to be in their element. They can take home what they find.

Children 11 and under can enter their artistic renderings into the Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee ’s Bradford Beach Family Day Coloring Contest. Visit the Sandcastle Contest table for crayons and entry forms!

Check out Dinos Under Glass at the Mitchell Park Domes

Mitchell Park Domes has a fantastic new exhibit called Dinos Under Glass.

Experience what it was like to walk with the dinosaurs in the tropical world at The Domes. Stand in a dinosaur footprint, learn about fossils, find the dinosaur nest, and see plants that were part of the dinosaur landscape millions of year ago!

The exhibit will be running from July 13th-November 3rd, so there is plenty of time to plan your visit. The dinosaurs are inhabiting the Tropical Dome nestled among the plants and they range in size from 9 to 16 feet. The Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and Dromaeosaurus are easily viewed from the walking paths. The exhibit includes interactive dinosaur-related activities, such as a scavenger hunt and crossword puzzle. You will have the opportunity to step inside a dinosaur print as well!

Before leaving, stop in the Domes Gift Shop and bring home some great dinosaur souvenirs!

**Remember that if you are a Milwaukee County Resident, you will get into this exhibit for FREE on Mondays!**

The Domes, located at 524 S. Layton Blvd., are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $6.50 for adults and $5 for seniors and children ages 6 to 17. Children under 6 are free.

Disney Store Summer Play Days Daily!

Now through September 2nd, Disney Stores across the country will be hosting Summer Play Days. Stop by everyday for fun events for kids ages 3 and up. If you attend 5 events, you will get a FREE Mickey Mouse keychain. If you attend 10 events, you will get a FREE Mickey Mouse Watch.

Here's a fun family event!  My good friend, Melissa, of Lake Country Family Fun is going to be having Hartland Kids Day on July 31 from 9am - 3pm.  I am so excited to check this out with my family!

What a fun way to spend the day with your family!  Hartland Kids Day will be held at Nixon Park in Hartland, WI. There will be fun FREE activities that the whole family can enjoy. There will be Bounce Houses, Farmers, Food Vendors, Artists, and MORE!

The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department will be showing three family-friendly films on their new 12' screen!  Movies will be shown at Konkel Park by the gazebo.

• July 13:  Madagascar 3 (8:30 pm)
• July 27:  Wreck It Ralph (8:30 pm)

Concessions will be available.  Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and don't forget the bug spray!  No registrations is required for these movies, just head over and be prepared for a fun night with the family!
