I wish I knew about The Knot website when we were planning our wedding-I am not sure if it was around then though. I have had a couple of friends who have had accounts with The Knot-it is fun seeing their story and looking at the progress of their wedding plans. My sister used The Knot too-she said it was fun being able to put pictures up and share the details to their wedding. The Knot is also a great way to share your gift registry.
Check it out and let your friends know-it's FREE!

Day Fourteen: Corner to Corner Step Aerobics
Using a stair, position yourself so that your toes are pointing at the stair
Step up onto the lower left corner of the stair with your right foot. Bring your left foot up and kick it out in front of your body. Kick with your toes pointed up toward the ceiling and your leg extended directly out in front of you at a comfortable height.
Bring your left foot back down to the floor and follow with your right foot. Then, step up onto the lower right corner of the platform with your left foot.
Kick forward with your right foot, with your toes pointing to the ceiling. Kick at a comfortable height. Then, step back to the floor with your right foot, followed by your left foot.
While you are doing housework, turn the radio on and jam out to your favorite beat. Sounds simple enough, I know, but dancing is a great way to lose calories and work away that flab! Just last night while I was preparing dinner, Lady Gaga happened to find her way onto my radio...hmmmm...and I was doing squats and dancing up a storm to the beat. Music really helps to set a tone and a beat for our workout...and, for me anyway, it's really catchy and motivating!

The hit television series Dinosaur Train is roaring into 2011 with an all-new episode premiering Monday, January 17 on PBS KIDS (check local listings). We wanted to let you know so you can tune in. In the all-new episode, “The Good Mom;” “Diamond Anniversary,” Mrs. Pteranodon meets fellow mom Millie Maiasaura, who is a little too over-protective of her kids. The two moms share some time comparing mothering methods in a play date at the Big Pond. And, Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon decide to surprise each other with gifts on their anniversary. My sons really love this show! We don't have cable, so PBS is on quite a bit in our household and as soon as Dinosaur Train started airing, my children were thrilled! My second youngest son loves dinosaurs, so when it's on we watch it from start to finish...there can be no interruptions!
The Dinosaur Train is brought to you by The Jim Henson Company. You can like the Henson Company on Facebook. You can also follow them on Twitter.

I was able to make a calendar using the new Mixbook website! I really enjoyed it. We needed a new calendar and I always try to do personalized ones with photo as I never seem to get any pictures developed. The memory on my computer thanks me for that :)
Anyhow, I loved it! I love to scrapbook and am not the best at designing my own, so this website was a blessing! They even have "stickers" you can add onto the pages. I also thought it was really cool that I was able to share my calendar with friends. My sister in law has been taking professional pictures of my family for years now and she was able to upload them onto my calendar page so that I could use them on the calendar! I really like the idea of being able to work on a book or a calendar with friends/family! I like being able to share it and allow others to work on it with me as other's input, for me, is always a plus. I also really enjoyed the ability to add some pictures from facebook. I cannot tell you how many people add pictures of my family on facebook and I love the pictures, but I don't print them out. This was another great way to incorporate those photos. With so many friends and family out of town, this site is so helpful. Being able to share your work and pictures in a project together, even if far away, helps make the memories last.
Right now, they have buy one get one photo books and calendars until January 19! I would highly recommend Mixbook.com to anyone, even if you don't want to "share" your work with others because the quality and the features this site offers are outstanding!

I received the Toobeez 57 piece set to use at work and Ann received the EZ Fort. Ann's kiddos love the EZFort-they like to pretend they are camping-it was pretty easy to assemble and is a great size for her 1, 4 and 6 year old.
The EZFort is a supervised activity at the house as the younger kiddos like to pull on it and it has fallen down a couple of times. Ann's daughter really likes it though-she is able to use it herself and likes her little privacy palace.
The 57 piece Toobeez set has been a big hit with my kiddos at work. I brought it out the first night back from winter break. Everyone was very interested in it. We started out having 2 teams with pieces and let them create their own structure-everyone was a bit crazy because it was the first day back from vacation. We then decided to create a puppet theater. That really got ideas flowing-we changed our lesson plans for the week to work with our new excitement of the puppet theater-we had 5 great puppet shows that the kids worked on!
Now that the shows are over we changed the Toobeez to a reading tent for 2 people-it has been used everyday! They love it!
What I like about the Toobeez 57 piece set is that it really leaves room for your imagination-the set comes with pictures but no "plans" for creating so we were really able to explore and test out different strategies for making our creations. There is also a great storage/carrying bag that all of the pieces fit into-perfect for taking somewhere else or just to store when not in use.
I also like that the pieces twist together and have a little lock, to take apart you untwist and take it out. Pretty simple and fun!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) packet dry au jus mix
3/4 cup water
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8 patties.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the hot skillet. Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking alternately like a pyramid. In a medium bowl, mix together the soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done.
ENJOY!
To lessen the sodium intake, you may want to use low sodium varities of the soup. This is great with some mashed potatoes and using the liquid as gravy...yum! You may also want to brown the patties the night before so that you have more time in the morning just to throw it all in the slow cooker and go!
