Betsy and I had the chance to review Casa Di Bertacchi - Authentic Style Beef Meatballs.  The meatballs are fully cooked and come frozen in a 6 pound bag that is available for home delivery from Schwan's (schwans.com).

Each meatball weighs approximately 5/8 oz, which means you get about 150 meatballs in each bag.  So it is big enough to feed plenty of people at a large party, or you could take advantage of the resealable bag and only use a few meatballs at a time.

We decided to make the meatballs with one of our favorite kitchen appliances, our slow cooker.  I put the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker in the morning, set it on low, and let it go for 7 hours.

I enjoy using the slow cooker because it is so nice to come home from being out and be greeted with the wonderful smell of a cooking dinner.  After seven hours, I mixed in a bottle of honey bbq sauce and let it go for another hour.

You could just serve them like this, but we decided to serve them on sub rolls.  I picked up the bread from Jimmy John's.

Just slice the bread up and add the meatballs, you could also add some other veggies, like onion, mushroom, or anything else that you fancy.

After making the bbq meatball subs, we still have plenty of meatballs left to enjoy in other meals.  It is pretty hard to go through 6 pounds of meatballs in one sitting.
