Schwan's Dinner Review

Betsy and I had the chance to try out dinner from Schwan's.  We received a 7 pound ham, a box of au gratin potatoes, a triple berry, apple, rhubarb pie, and some vanilla ice cream.

The ham was boneless and pre-sliced, after I figured out how to make sure everything was ready at the same time I went to work preparing our meal.  Everything turned out looking really good.

I made some asparagus to go along with our dinner.

The ham was very tasty and the potatoes were creamy and cheesy and with a nice crunchy top crust.  The prep couldn't be easier, you barely have to do anything and there were plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.

As easy as dinner was to make, dessert was even easier.

You just cut some slits in the pie crust and wrap the edges in foil to keep them from burning, I used my pie crust shield.

The crust turned out a nice golden brown.

After letting it cool, we cut into this jam packed pie, that is full of fruit.

And of course when you add the ice cream you make pie even better.

Everything turned out great, getting everything pre-made means making dinner is easy.  Ordering from Schwan's is a great option when you want to make your family a complete dinner, but don't necessarily have the time.  Place an order now and turn any given weeknight into Sunday night dinner or to give mom the day off from cooking on Mother's Day!

Thanks for reading.
